Baptists on Mission operate two mission camps located at Red Springs in Robeson County and Shelby in Cleveland County. These camps host a variety of men, women and student volunteers throughout the year, and have a dramatic impact in and around Robeson and Cleveland counties as projects continue over time.
Projects range from renovating a needy family’s house, patching a leaky roof for a senior adult, installing a wheelchair ramp for a handicapped person, evangelistic visits in communities, Vacation Bible Schools or sports camps.
Red Springs Mission Camp is led by Larry Osborne, and Shelby Mission Camp is led by David Brown. Brown is passionate about his service and encourages you to give to the North Carolina Missions Offering saying,
“The N.C. Mission Offering is our lifeline of support.”
In 2017, more than $300,000 in proceeds from the NCMO went to the mission camps. These funds help make a difference in the lives of many North Carolinians, through volunteers who serve as the hands and feet of Jesus and share His love with many.
If you are interested in scheduling a group to volunteer at one of these missions camps contact Joanne Honeycutt with Baptists on Mission for more information.
